COMMANDER’S CORNER

My apologies for missing the August corner. I am writing a combined corner to get caught up. I took a very hard fall that destroyed my right shoulder and fractured two vertebrae. Two trauma centers later and with the work of fine surgeon, I have a new artificial shoulder and am hobbling about with a spine brace. Today is my first time back on the computer trying to assemble an update, I met with personally with my finance team last Tuesday. It was a very rewarding experience to work in person with these ladies versus by phone.

The Post continues to do very well. We did decide to tile the kitchen flooring as it is aging and is getting a lot of use.

I thank Sr Vice Miller and Vice Commander Carney for conducting the last two membership meetings. The meetings are always a challenge the first time you do them. But the opportunity to do one is valuable to them as they look forward to higher office.

We sent out our third set of financial donations on Tuesday; this amounted to some $20k in local charity donations. We have budgeted some $80k for this year.

Our Post will host a new attraction in our hall this fall. Midget Wrestling. There will be an entrance fee.

A reminder for our membership: The Earl Belcher Pavilion enjoys freshly painted tables. It’s a great place to Take the family for a quiet picnic. It is bounded by a grass lawn allowing sports activities. Bring the family out!
Power is available in the Pavilion.

Thank you for your continuing membership and support. Enjoy your Fall!!
The next membership meeting is on 6 October 2026 at 7 PM.

Respectfully,
Tony A. Cromwell, Post Commander kypost46@gmail.com
